You Can’t Serve God and Think Small

Choosing an Abundance Mindset—Daily An abundance mindset is not optimism. It is obedience. It is the decision to agree with God when your circumstances are arguing back. A scarcity mindset drains the soul. It breeds fear, worry, and unrest. But Scripture reminds us plainly: “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). If fear is loud, it is not from God—and if it is not from God, it does not get the final word. As believers, we are not called to think like survivors—we are called to think like heirs. We are instructed to think, walk, and live in abundance even when resources look thin and answers seem delayed. Because our faith is not anchored in what we see, but in who God is. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). Abundance is a daily declaration. We declare we will make it—before we see it. We speak life—before the breakthrough appears. We trust God—before the how and the when make sense. Because “we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). This is how believers move: not driven by panic, not ruled by lack, not paralyzed by uncertainty. Our confidence is not in circumstances—it is in promises. And God does not break promises. So we choose gratitude when things feel tight. We choose trust when the path feels unclear. We choose obedience when faith feels costly. Because the same God who called us is faithful to provide. “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). This is not denial—it is discipline. This is not pretending—it is believing. This is not wishful thinking—it is Kingdom thinking. So we move forward every single day—heads high, hearts anchored, faith intact. Smiling. Believing. Standing firm. Because abundance is not something we wait for. It is something we choose—daily. 🙏🏾 ——— “A scarcity mindset doubts God’s provision; an abundance mindset trusts His character.” — Ane M. “Faith doesn’t wait for evidence—it walks in obedience.” — Ane M. “You don’t need more resources; you need more agreement with God.” — Ane M. “Abundance is choosing trust when circumstances choose fear.” — Ane M. “When you think like an heir, you stop panicking like an orphan.” — Ane M. Today’s Challenge What would change if you truly believed God would supply all your needs? Where have you allowed fear to speak louder than faith? Are you declaring abundance—or rehearsing lack every day?
